Nottinghamshire-based cricket team sponsor Goodman Corporate Finance is celebrating the Gedling and Sherwood Cricket Club Under 13s finishing joint top in the Nottinghamshire Youth Cricket League.
Paul Goodman, Managing Director of Goodman Corporate Finance, said: “As a former rugby player I’ve still got a keen interest in all sports and we’re proud as a company to support this local team. Sponsoring the team is a great way for us to support local young people and to boost sport at a grass roots level.
We sponsored the same youngsters as under 12s last year when they also came out at the top of the league, so it’s great to see their continued success.

Assistant team manager John Gell added: “The under 13s only lost one game all season – sadly the weather prevented us from playing Caythorpe otherwise we might have won the league outright!”
“We are really pleased to be developing a reputation of being one of the best clubs for bringing through talent. Seven members of this team represented Nottinghamshire or Derbyshire this year and we have also been chosen as one of Notts County Cricket Club’s five girls cricket hubs.
